Update

 Please continue to pray for our friend Cal.  He has had a few set backs along the way but continues to fight the good fight .  He is a little disappointed that he will need to stay in Hospital longer then originally anticipated .  Through all this Cal has remained positive and hopeful.

Down to the wire

Well the time is here and the process will begin .  We received the official date...Cal has 3 chemo sessions on 18, 19, 20 and then admitted on 25th. He gets his cells back in the 26th and will spend a week or 2 in hospital. After that he will reside in Toronto for another 30 days.  

His spirits are high and he is ready to face this.   Please keep Cal and family in your prayers through this.

 If you can call Cal a friend, you are a truly blessed person.   He is one of those guys that would do anything for you. When there is a need, he is there.  Silent auctions, Golf tournaments, Walkathons, you name it , and if there is a life changing cause, Cal is there in the front lines .  

Today he needs you in the front lines advocating for him.  Please share his need with anyone that you think will be able to help.  We are just over $13000 now with just $5500 to go.. but if all goes well we only have a few weeks left.   If you have been waiting to send in a small gift, please do not wait any longer, There is enough for Cal to stress about , finances should not be an issue .. its something WE CAN DO.. Over half way there ..

 We are so thankful to everyone who has donated so far to help Cal at this time .  We have just crossed the $10 000 mark with just $8250 to go to cover the expenses for a life saving treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.   Funds are needed to cover all the extra's , food transportation, and lodging for a couple months near the hospital.  

When a cause like this would come up in our community in the past, it would be Cal that would lead the effort as many of you have experienced first hand.  Now it is Cal who needs OUR help.  Please consider sending a donation his way.

A little bit of history about Cal

This fundraiser is to help our Dad, Cal Clarke Senior, receive a life changing therapy for Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. 

 A bit about our Dad.....Mr. Norwood, man of few words but kind beyond measure, dedicated family man and an incredibly hard worker. His career was with Outboard Marine, but his core love is for his family, his community and most importantly his love for God. He is steadfast and faithful and would do absolutely anything for anyone, and he has. He played an integral roll in the fundraising for our beautiful hospital here in Peterborough and has acquired many other accolades from coaching minor sports to supporting community events, just to name a few.

Help needed

Hi everyone, This fundraiser is to help our Dad, Cal Clarke Senior, receive a life changing therapy for Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. 

We are reaching out to you, our community to ask you for your help. It is a treatment that can not be provided here and subsequently we must seek the treatment in Toronto and we must reside there full time for 4-6 weeks. Your assistance would enable us to stay with our Dad and support him through this part of his journey. We need to secure living accommodations, travel, food, pre treatments that are not covered by Ohip or insurance as well as maintaining their home here in Peterborough and caring for our Mom.

To ask for help is not something we are use to and would much rather offer our help, but now we find ourselves here and are reaching out.
